Welcome to Year 3 and Year 4, Miss Williams and the class are up for a super exciting year, full of fun and exciting learning. 

As you may be aware, there is a national statutory test for Y4 children called the ‘Multiplication Tables Check’ (MTC). The test will judge how well each child knows their multiplication tables up to 12 x 12, which is the expected standard by the end of Year 4. The test will be administered in the summer term and will involve an online test of 25 multiplication questions. The results will then be shared with us to help us best support the children, as they progress through the Y5 and Y6 maths curriculum. 

PE

Our PE lessons will take place on Monday and Tuesday, so please make sure your child comes to school in PE kit on these days.  

Homework

Reading records will be checked on Friday each week.  Each child will bring home a levelled reading book matched to their ability and a free choice book and they should aim to read these at least three times a week.
